Pay for Performance®
Pay for Performance® (PFP) allows brand manufacturers to influence consumers before they reach the point of sale by delivering a promotional message integrated into the price label at-shelf. Typically used to encourage multiple purchases, PFP programs encourage consumers to buy more than the average number of units per purchase occasion (i.e., "Buy Three Boxes of Brand X, Get $1.00 off your next purchase"), thereby driving incremental units. When the consumer complies with the offer, an incentive to be applied to the next shopping order is dispensed at checkout.
